The project of the Great Exhibitions "The Birth of the Celestial Empire" (2005 - 2006), the first in the series of major exhibitions regarding "The Silk Road and Chinese Civilisation" promoted by the Fondazione Cassamarca and the Chinese Academy of International Culture, will be followed by the second exhibition,"Genghis Khan and The Treasure of the Mongols", from 20 October 2007 to 4 May 2008. 300 of the rarest and most precious finds will be placed on show at the Casa dei Carraresi in Treviso for the first time. The exhibits come from Chinese museums and recent archaeological excavations in the northern regions on either side of the Great Wall, where from 907 to 1368, the Wu Dai, Xi Xia, Liao, Song and Yuan Dynasties held sway.
